Borders, Boundaries, Territory - David Newman at UiT

Dear colleagues,

in a joint effort, the Centre for Peace Studies, the Department of
Political Science, and the Institute for Culture and Literature are
hosting a visit by Prof. David Newman from Ben-Gurion University.

Newman is professor of political geography and editor of the journal
Geopolitics. He will give two lectures at the Centre for Peace Studies
(Lower Pavilion) on WEDNESDAY September 10.

Programme:

Session 1 (1015-1130): "The concepts of 'border' and 'territory' in a
borderless world"

Session 2 (1145-1300): "Territorial and geopolitical dimensions of the
Israel/Palestine conflict and peace process"
