The human Rights Film showcase would like to invite you to join this event

We organize this event with the aim to raise awareness about the campaign to
STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN,
since November is designated by the United Nations as a month for global
event to combat violence against women.

AI, Tromsø Student Network invites you to join the film screening of
"WATER"
"Water" is directed by an acclaimed Indian-born director, Deepa Metha.
Water(2005) is the final piece in her linked trilogy, proceeding by Fire
(1996) and Earth (1998). Taken place in India 1930s, the movie shows the
impoverished life of 8-year-old Hindu widow living in an Ashram. After the
death of their husbands, Hindu widows are labelled as worthless to the
society and thus live out their lives in solitude and shame. Surprisingly,
nowadays this situation has continued in the democratic India.
